Lady in Love

Lady in Love

I was in the shower, praying about identity.  I know that's awkward to read, imagine how many times I reminded Jesus we could just leave that part out...but here we are....I usually have good prayer time in the shower, for the most part it's a rare opportunity for alone time.  That day was hair washing day, and if you know me at all, that is a rare occurrence….       “Lord, how do you see me?”   I was deep in prayer (or maybe I forgot how life works...whatever....) somehow I managed to get shampoo all in my eyes, ...

Lady in Chains

Lady in Chains

I was standing by her in church one Sunday, when I felt an urgency to pray for her during worship. You see, I knew what was going on in her life.  I knew how overwhelmed she was with anxiety and fear.  It had been a rough season...The lies of the enemy were loud, and she was believing them.  She was at the point where she just could not see truth for the fog.  It's so hard to watch the people you love suffer.  It's also hard to know when and how to speak truth to them, so I specifically started...

When he died unexpectedly at 55, that dream had to be tweaked. She took...

The Call

The Call

This morning at church, as we sang “Way Maker”, I found myself just begging God for David. You see, my father-in-law has pulmonary fibrosis. And his only hope is a lung transplant. I shared the story here. https://artistictherapy.net/blogs/news/to-the-man-who-will-give-my-husbands-daddy-his-lungs   I found myself begging God to make a way for his lungs to be healed. It had been a while since I had been that overcome praying over it. Praying for his donor. Begging the Lord that today would be his salvation day. That he would take care of whatever business was unsettled. Begging the Lord to move. Reminding Him He...

Out With the Old, In With the New

Out With the Old, In With the New

This weekend, the plan was to rearrange our bedroom.  Friday, I accidentally went to Home Depot, bought some paint, and repainted the kitchen--surprising Brad when he came home from work.  Like..surprise!  you married an idiot!  For the next several days, our house was a complete disaster.  No room--honestly not many spaces were unaffected.  He married a creative, he knew what he was getting-ish. I literally didn't have a plan.  I just had a whim, and went for it.  As we lived around my great ideas for several days, we hashed out different ways we could shake things up and...
